Why Buying Leads is a waste of Money

As an investor and a realtor I am always on the search for new and different way to generate leads and business.  Every one of the online leads provider promises your phone will be ringing off the hook.  I put a three to the test and tell you the results..

  1. Z57

Z57 did a great job of providing leads.  They provided approximately 111 home buyer leads in 6 months.  They provided a website and forced people to give their information to view properties on the MLS.  Although Z57 provided a good quantity of leads the quality of the leads were typical with what I have found of internet leads.  Now, some of these people were really looking for houses, but most put fake numbers and email address and were never heard from again.

  2. Adwerx

I just signed up for adwerx.  I was kind of an impulse buy, but      they    hit me at a weak moment and I wanted to see how their service stacks up.  It costs $250.00 for six months.  What adwerx does is place you add on certain websites.  Screen shot 2014-12-09 at 8.53.15 PM

Adwerx views

So, according to the statistics I’ve gotten 17,000 views and 200 clicks.  Sounds good huh?  The problem is that I have gotten ZERO phone calls!!  So, I’ll give this more time and see what happens.

3.  Trulia

Trulia sells you a local zip code and when people look on their website from the zip code you purchased you face will show up.  Its expensive my thought was If I wanted good leads I was going to have to pay for them.  This service costs $167.00 per month for this one zip code.  I have only been a member for a week or so and I have already gotten two leads.  The first I called and emailed with no response.  They second entered false information and I can’t contact him.  So much for that theory.  So I am back to square one.
